The "Little Prince" of Screen Music

Loic Valmy, (pronounce lo-eek), was born in France in 1972.

Screen Music Composer for 15 years, his themes are always amazing for their feshness, their force and their sensitivity.

Even though he is better known in Europe, there is a great chance for him to become very soon one of the "must work with" screen composers in Australia.

"Maybe, one of the most promising

screen composers of his generation."

Listen to his work in the Demos Galery.:

Able to compose in a very "Hollywood style" such as in "For Aïcha's Love" or in "The 4th Musketeer", but also able to seduce us with more touching and delicate melodies such as "Nostalgy" or "Without you", Loïc Valmy is probably one of the most promising screen composers of his generation.

"The first thing that captivates you

is the incredible "visual" aspect of his music ."

Certainly caused by the fact that he's what we call a "synesthete", his scores are always full of colours, shapes, ambiances and pictures. Each of his soundtracks is like a real movie in itself. You don't listen to his music, you can actually SEE it! Loïc actually "sees the sounds" and "hear the pictures". Discover what synesthesia is.

His surname of "Little prince" was, at the beginning, a joke from a journalist. While comparing Loïc to the "Kings" of Screen music (John Williams, James Horner, Dany Elfman...), the journalist, probably influenced by Loïc's look (blond hair, blue eyes...), gave Loïc the surname of Saint-Exupéry's character. Since then, the surname has stayed and medias are still using it. "I like this name, not for the noble title it gives, but for the character it references to. The "Little Prince" of Saint-Exupéry has always been a very important story in my life, so it's nice to be called that name." Loïc said - Learn more about him in "Ze Blog".
